A little introduction about myself. My name is Bob Palas. This is my second and last year in the GSLIS program. I’ve been working at the Skokie Public Library for at least three years as a circulation clerk. I’m interested in working as an adult public reference librarian.
What I am hoping to get out of this class is understanding everything there is to know about the digital world of the library, such as: concepts and lingo, so that maybe one day I will be able to come up with that innovative “big hit” the library has been hunting for!
I believe that this is going to be a fun class. The mere fact of engaging in a blogging site seems like a great learning experience.
I also blog at MySpace.com for fun, so, using a site other than MySpace is probably better for me, considering that I am only using that. I think it’s about time for me to see what else is out there!
Aside from all of this, I love to play the guitar, drums, and bass. Also, a big fan of karaoke!!!
